New Google Bard Is Going Neck-And-Neck With ChatGPT

I have big news on the AI front today. Google launched the new version of Bard and it’s all the things that ChatGPT is, and more…

I’ve used Bard on and off since it was released but I didn’t like it that much because it tended to hallucinate too much. I.e., you ask it a question and it gave you imaginary answers. Stuff that wasn’t true at all!

Well, Google released a new version of Bard today and they fixed everything!

Not only that, they made it the greatest AI that’s available free right now. The model is much improved. It’s faster, more accurate and gives you a pretty detailed response to any question.

Here are the highlights

🍎 It’s faster than ChatGPT.
🍎 I got longer answers in my tests.
🍎 Now it has extensions!
🍎 It has a system to check accuracy of answer (Google button)
🍎 You can share a conversation and other people can see it and continue it.
🍎 You get a control to modify the kind of response you expect.
🍎 Like ChatGPT, now you can have topics on the sidebar.

Unlike ChatGPT, Bard AI is real time. Its knowledge base is up to date. It can answer questions about things that have happened recently.

That means you can create articles, posts and other content for trending topics!

🍎Did I say Extensions!

Google Chrome became the leader killer browser because it facilitated some great extensions. That’s what Google Bard is going to do now.

It has extensions now and they already built some pretty cool ones. I think when they open up the extensions development to everyone, this is going to get crazy.

Yep, looks like that story is coming to an end. Being a first mover also means having to be one iteration ahead.

With this release of Bard, ChatGPT is not ahead, it’s at par or maybe even a little behind if you consider the fact that they don’t have extensions in public.

This is a game changer launch from Google. It put them right in the lead in the AI race.
