Wow! Every day when I wake up in the morning there’s a new AI breakthrough waiting for me.
It’s incredible how fast this is changing. I’ve been in IT all my life but have never seen this kind of rapid change.
Here’s what happened today - Bing made AI image generation free for everyone!
Yes, you can just go to Bing Creator and roll out free AI images online instantly. There’s absolutely no limitation!

Here’s the deal with Bing. They have a strong partnership with OpenAI and they have already launched Bing Chat which uses the GPT3.5 engine along with web access.
Now with the Bing Creator, they have another first. A free-to-use AI image creator that creates high-quality images. Google will really have to find a way to measure up or lose, its lead over Bing.
I’ve used both Bard and Bing and I can tell you that while Bard is a little more detailed, its reasoning engine is not as good as Bing. It tends to ‘hallucinate’ a lot. i.e., it will give you false answers to reasoning questions.
And Google doesn’t have a good quality generative AI at all, at least not in public knowledge yet. This means that Google can be weeks or even months behind Bing in coming up with a generative AI tool.
So is this the knockout punch that Bing was waiting to deliver all those years? It sure seems like that.
Generative AI is a huge pull for Internet users. Being able to create any image you want is something that everyone can find useful. They are going to go to Bing and along with images they are going to discover all the other tools like Search, Chat, and more.
This does not augur well for Google whose entire business is centered around search. Already people are spending less time searching for things because they can find a better answer from AI, now it seems they might lose the AI edge to Bing or even other, smaller players.
By the way, Dall-E and Bing could be the first with this today but they are not going to be last. Free generative AI will be coming to you from every single platform that you are working on.
TikTok, SnapChat, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter. They will all have their own free generative AIs that you can use.
So the game of content creation is going to change. It’s going to be less skill and more imagination.
You might have never drawn a straight line before but soon you will be painting beautiful imagination-scapes.
