Here’s what Google’s new AI, VideoPoet can do

It seems that the action in Generative AI is never going to slow down. Before I can properly comprehend and assimilate one development, there’s another around the corner.

This one’s in video AI.

I’ve been watching a lot of smaller players struggle to get video AI right. It’s a tricky and very compute-intensive affair, but there’s been good progress.

Well, the big-G just entered the game and boy! What a play!

Google recently announced the development of its video generation Ai called the VideoPoet.

This AI can generate high-resolution, high-quality videos with just some descriptions or even taking cues from your images or your videos.

> You can feed in an image and get Google to make a video with it.

That’s rad! It’s going to give you lots of happy, manufactured memories 🙂

For marketers, you can start preparing to animate your product shots, your testimonials, and your sales letters in a way you’ve never done before.

Here’s a glimpse at what it’s capable of

>Text to video - give it a prompt and make a video

>Image to video - give it an image and animate it!

>Stylization - Put in a video/image and stylize it in a totally different manner.

>Inpainting & Outpainting - Add or remove objects to your videos

>Video to audio - It can create an audio track based on what’s going on in the video

Right now VideoPoet only does 2 second clips and it’s not even available to the public, but Google is working hard to get it out and they’ve released a demo to give you an idea of what’s coming.

Now this is one Generative AI tech that I am very excited about. :) I will keep you updated when it comes out.
