ChatGPT can see! This is how it changes Generative AI
New ChatGPT can see, speak, and hear. It’s nothing new.
Okay, the big news of the day.
ChatGPT can now see, hear, and speak.
To be honest they are not special skills unique to ChatGPT. Basic informational systems that can see, hear, and speak have been around for nearly 5 years now.
Your phone already has Siri and Visual Lookup or Google Lens. Frankly, this is not new at the moment. Other AIs have been able to do this for a little while now.
In fact, I made an app some time ago called ChatBuddy, that can speak and hear. It used GPT-3.5 in the backend.
And Bing, the AI that uses ChatGPT 4 in the backend has been able to process images for a while now. It has the DALL-E 3 image creation engine now (absolutely cutting-edge stuff).
So, not really impressed by ChatGPT’s declaration today. It’s not unique and new no matter what you read online.
Here’s what you can do with ChatGPT now
>Give instructions to ChatGPT by voice and get answers
>Hold conversations with ChatGPT
>Send an image to ChatGPT and process a response with it
You could ask ChatGPT to describe what’s going on in an image, or better still, make a story about it. It can be a part of the prompt you give ChatGPT to generate unique and original content that you can use anywhere.
If you have GPT-Plus, you can even give ChatGPT an image and ask it to make a different version of it.
Disclaimer: You can do that for free with Bing. Just give it the URL of any image and ask it to draw any modification.
I keep pitching you free stuff because honestly, I don’t want you to waste any money on products you don’t need.
ChatGPT for $20 a month is overpriced in my opinion.
You can do most of the stuff for free using different apps, and even if you do want to use advanced text generation capabilities of GPt-4 it’s a better idea to use AI collective and use GPT-4 alongside many other AI models.
Frankly, most of the AI action I see happening is from other people than OpenAI. What OpenAI did today is good, but I do hope they have some more things up their sleeve.
Talk about an ace up your sleeve… Webinars work wonderfully for selling anything.
