Don’t scam, Bro
First, a very merry Christmas to you if you celebrate, and happy holidays too :).
This month has been interesting. I heard of two (not one) people who suffered massive losses because of bad business practices.
Both of them are renown public figures, who built up their business to great heights but lost it all because they didn’t do it the right way. Reading about them brought me back to my greater faith in longevity than speed.
Keeping it going is more important than speeding fast
One of them is going to remain unnamed, but the other one is a YouTuber named Vivek Bindra who built up a multi-million dollar business using his YouTube channel.
He became a famous motivational speaker on YouTube, then used his YouTube audience to launch and successfully market a coaching business. The only problem — he was in a rush to get rich and he went dark, real dark.
● He promised people he’d have them earning $15,000 a month in no time.
● He marketed his video course as a ‘mba’
● He charged them a $500 entry and up to $3000 for his courses
● He created a GIANT ponzi scheme, training his students to make money by selling his courses and earning a commission.
Eventually karma caught up to him. He scammed too many people, some of them talked publicly and he got called out on another giant YouTuber’s channel, resulting in thousands of police complaints against him.
I have no doubt his business is dead and he’s going to jail soon
Something similar happened to the unnamed gentleman. He sold business coaching too and yet again, he lied about what he could do for people.
He told them he’d give them the secret to turning their business around ‘guaranteed’. His salespeople asked how much money the prospects wanted to make and guaranteed they could get them there.
He used false promises in his advertising.
Finally, the FTC got to him and put a penalty on him that cost him all the money he had. All of it.
Both of these guys earned millions but have lost everything they built up.
The reason – Greed, and a weak moral compass
You can’t build up a business with that. At least not one that lasts. You can’t build generational wealth. Even if you get some money now, you’ll always be fearful when it’ll be taken away from you. Who will get you!

I know some of you might be under some stress. Business is tough, it takes a lot of effort. This is how it is. This is how it is for everyone.
Shortcuts, bad choices, wrong decisions, greed, they lead to certain disasters.
It’s better to build it strong even if you have to build it slow.
As I experienced it, here’s the easiest formula to create a viable business.
-Find a problem that’s real.
-Create a solution that’s real (no bloatware, no fakeware)
-Sell it at a real cost (take what it’s worth to your customer)
-Be real in your communications (be authentic when you sell, provide real support)
It’s that simple. Be consistent at this and you’ll get there with fewer speedbumps, fewer accidents and fewer disasters.
