Grok AI is out and it’s a hoot… Just not what YOU need

Big recent developments on the AI front.

- Gemini AI is fake – Yep, Google lied to us about how amazing it was.

- Meta has got a new image-generative AI

And the biggest

X’s Grok is now finally out for public use. They are rolling it out really slow. To a small number of Premium+ accounts on X right now but in a few weeks, it’s going to gain speed and come to everyone.

What’s special about Grok?

It has a ready and continuous information context. Yes, Grok is eating up the Twitter feed and can give you information and analysis even before it breaks.

Yes, Grok is the ultimate Twitter miner. Now it makes sense why Musk was insistent on locking up the Twitter feed for the rest of the world. He didn’t want anyone to steal his superpower.

Now Grok is the only AI with unfettered access to the most recent, most compelling information (or disinformation?) source out there.

You can ask it a question and it’ll contextualize it with what’s happening right now.

But what can you use it for?

Grok’s not the usual generative AI like OpenAI’s GPTs. It’s weird, it’s zany. That makes it pretty much useless for generative content that you want to publish on websites.

Want to write articles? Blog Posts? Social media posts?

Generate them by Grok and its personality will shine through, ruining your content.

I am a bit disappointed about this.

Grok could have been the best thing that happened to content generation. Imagine getting articles written with quotes and the latest updates on any topic you want.

Instead, we are getting an out-of-control mess.

It’s good for regular users and information consumers. It’s not good for information producers like us.

But here’s an idea

What if we could take content from Grok and sanitize it with GPT? That would be awesome!

Grok doesn’t have an API right now but when it does, I will bring it to AI Collective and I will build this pipeline! 

Or better…
