Here is how I waited for my way to profits…
Yesterday I met a fellow SAAS entrepreneur and we talked about our respective marketing strategies. It’s always good to talk openly with others who are in the game. When you share, you often learn as well.
Talking to him I found out that he doesn’t run any ads because they didn’t work for him the way he ran them. So I gave him some insights about what he could be doing wrong and what he could do differently.
The Patience Problem
That reminded me of the time when I first started running ads online and kept shutting them down, or changing things often because they didn’t yield results. Or so I thought.
It was just a mistake in understanding the algorithm and it was just a random post on Reddit that cleared up things for me.
“It takes time for the algorithm to capture data and build a perspective of your best customers. It can take weeks or even months.”
That comment struck me hard. I had been measuring in days and if something didn’t work for 3 days I’d change it. All the time failing to realize that the algorithm just didn’t have enough time to make an image of my perfect customers (from the engagement and conversions) and show it to the right people.
The Solution
I just didn’t wait long enough.
I redid my budgets, updated my marketing, and changed my strategy and slowly I started seeing the results come in.
It’s an entirely different sales pipeline now and all it took was one random comment while I was scrolling social media.
The important thing is, I did learn the patience to wait.
Success is the accrual of good karma (work, action) that you put in. Even when you do the right thing it can take time for things to start changing direction and gaining speed. You’ll have to be patient.
Talent is knowing what to be patient about.

What do you think about your own self? Do you see yourself as someone who has plenty of patience and can put in action consistently and wait for things to accrue, or do you see yourself hopping from tactic to tactic?
I see a lot of business folks letting impatience guide them out of what could be a profitable strategy. That’s not scalable. It’s better to be sticky and learn how to do it right.
Spend more time researching and experimenting till you break the wall. It has happened before to others, it will happen to you.
