I’ve been grappling with the biggest problem in SEO for a while now.
Is Google okay with AI generated content?
The answer is finally out from Google itself and it is a Yes! You can use AI generated content and as long as it’s helpful, readable, relevant, Google will rank it.

This debate was laid to a rest by the change of wordings in Google’s guidelines for helpful content.

Yes, it’s clear now. People don’t have to write the content that is created. It can be machines too. As long as the content is created to be helpful to people, that’s all that is needed.
Wow! You know what this means? You can create a lot of AI generated content, make sure it’s well written (editor?), and that’s it. You can rank all day.
Based on this, I am not going to shy away from using AI content generators to power content, but I am going to be careful. I would use it to develop new properties but not extensively on properties that are already ranking well.
The reason is, the game can change anytime. If Google sees a lot of abuse they might change the terms later. That’s what happened with Panda.
I use AI with a mix of human element. It’s not possible to write everything through AI or the content you create will be generic and low quality. What I do instead is use AI to fill the content up.
Write headlines, paragraphs, and then use AI to get newer ideas and angles, then to expand them and turn into real content.
Don’t just click a button and write an article or it’ll be just like the thousands of articles on that topic.
