Locked In An Unproductive Pattern? Break Free To Grow
I write to you everyday and sometimes some of you write back. I read all these emails and sometimes they make me think. That’s what happened again a couple of days ago.
One of my customers, let’s call him Ron, wrote back to me.
Ron said that he had been trying for years now to make a profit online and so far he hadn’t made anything. He also told me he had been buying products all this while. He told me he knows that the shiny object syndrome is not helping him and finally he’s getting down to real action.
I wrote back to him with my thoughts, of course but I couldn’t get that out of my mind for a while.
Ron, you’ve been a great customer. You bought products, you didn’t put them to use much but you paid for them anyway.
You knew all this time what was wrong but you were locked into the same pattern for years. But you are not alone.
This is exactly what is happening to a lot of entrepreneurs. Deep down we know exactly what’s wrong but we still end up doing the same thing over and over.
t’s true for business, true for relationships, true for health. True for anything that matters. We know what the good choices are, the good choices are always tough and that’s why we pick up comforting choices indeed.
We know it when things are not working but the pattern is too hard to escape.
Ron is not alone, we are all guilty of this. I looked at my own patterns and I was able to point out a lot of stuff that I know I must change but I haven’t done so.
It’s incredibly hard to change well-established patterns but that’s where seeds for achieving your goals are sown. There’s really no other way.
So Ron, like I told you, you must commit to not buying a single thing and instead focusing only on improving your skills, doing outreach and working on that specific thing you told me you want to do till you have either convincingly succeeded or convincingly failed.
And I will work on my own patterns. That’s what I learnt from you in these couple days.
And you. You who are reading this. You need to participate in this pact too. You need to find out that one pattern. Just one, but it has to be the most effective one pattern that will get you nearer your goal.
You need to find it, and then you need to change it for the better.
We owe this to our goals.
