New OpenSource Voice AI V/S Millions in Corporate Investment – Who’s winning?

New OpenSource Voice AI V/S Millions in Corporate Investment – Who’s winning?

I’ve been talking earlier about how truly the future of generative AI is not locked with  big companies like Google or Microsoft or even OpenAI. Instead it’s Open Source that is going to emerge as the main driver… Not now, but soon.

The signs are becoming more clear every day.

Just a couple of weeks ago there was Mixtral, a new LLM that was trained for less than $30,000 and is nearly as good as ChatGPT.

Cost of creating AI is coming down, and I think it’s going to be the same old ‘Grove’s law’ - “Cost of technology is going to halve each year.”

Well… Cheap AI Just came to voice cloning

There are a few voice cloning solutions in the market, but they are all very expensive and companies like Elevenlabs have invested millions to create them.

Nothing a well-funded university can’t replicate for free (free for you). MIT teamed up with a few other universities to release OpenVoice - a new AI model for voice that can replicate your voice and give you absolute control.

You can use it to duplicate your own voice or the voice of a celebrity you love.

How about having your next video sales letter read in the voice of Morgan Freeman? You could do that soon.

I don’t have access to OpenVoice yet, and I am absolutely busy in creating my latest AI products (I’ve got 3 of them running right now), so I can’t get to it just immediately but I will soon enough.

Or someone else will. That’s really not important.

The important thing is… Cheap, open AI is coming to you for everything.
