Opensource AIs could eat ChatGPTs Lunch
Opensource AIs could eat ChatGPTs Lunch
On one hand, we hear about OpenAI getting a giant breakthrough that many think is truly general intelligence, and on the other, we are getting a lot of new AIs from so many different sources.
Last month, a Chinese company that nobody knows about launched a new AI model called Yi which has a higher token capacity than ChatGPT or Claude. It can handle 200K tokens!
What does that mean? You can feed it more content and it will be able to keep that in context
-Feed an entire encyclopedia
-A complete set of maintenance manuals
-Multiple programming guides
-Your entire customer support Knowledgebase
It’ll remember all of that and answer the questions that you or your customers ask it.

But that’s not the only big deal… This AI model is open source
It can be hosted online on publicly available AI hardware and you will have a completely robust and effective model available for use.
This is happening over and over and in many segments.
DallE-3 was not the only breakthrough last month. We also got an all-new image AI called Pixart, which, hold your breath, is open source.
Yet again
I think the future bottleneck in AI access is going to be deployment, not technology.
AI models will be available in dozens but the hardware to deploy them will be precious and costly.
The bigger the model, the more complicated the model, the more expensive it is to run. Unless there’s a big breakthrough here AI isn’t coming to run on your own computer.
Till then of course, there’s API and I have made it my mission to make AI available to you as much as possible.
That’s why we are going to include Yi in our AI Collective next week
Yes, it’s coming…

It is a multi-AI frontend for MULTIPLE text and image AIs. You can install it on any PHP hosting (even free ones) and get access to all the AIs in the market.
We give you access to every public AI.
Why get one when you can get them all?
Go to that website and check out AI Collective.
Cheers!
