The perfect marketing strategy doesn’t exist
The perfect marketing strategy doesn’t exist
I was listening to the famous startup book Lean Startup this morning and the narrator was talking about customer acquisition.
Your success in business is directly proportional to what you pay to acquire the customer vs what they pay to you over the lifetime they do business with you.
Profitability is when you consistently pay less to get the customer than what they pay you.
The lesser you pay, the more profitable you are. Of course, you also need to factor in the total number of customers you have. That’s ‘scale’.
So how do you get customers without having to pay a lot for them?
I rely on the good old social web.
Our customers are also human beings and like human beings they are lurking about somewhere online.
The challenge is to find where they are.
Have you done that thought exercise recently? Put yourself in your customers’ shoes and think about which websites you are on. What are you doing there? How did you find them? What do you want to do online?
The answers to those questions will give you your entire marketing strategy. That’s where you need to focus your marketing efforts on.
- Not on random magical tools
- Not on black-hat strategies
Nobody is going to teach you how to earn thousands of dollars in your sleep.
So when I see videos like this on YouTube, I get facepalm moments. Who is buying this?
This is not real.
What’s real? Figuring out your customers, understanding what they want, and reaching them where they are.
For me, that means focusing on -
- Search (Be there when my customers search for tools)
- Facebook (All our business folks are on Facebook)
- YouTube (Topics that genuine business folks watch)
And other similar places. I am not bothered so much about Insta or TikTok. Though I do have accounts there they are just placeholders.
For a fashion brand, it’d be totally the opposite. Your buyers are on Insta and Tiktok, so why are you wasting time on Reddit for?
That's the clarity you need.
Do you have it? Do you know where your customers are? Are you doing enough to reach them there?
Tell me what you got going.
Also, if you want me to write about something specific, let me know and I will put it on my list.

Autowebinars are awesome. You can create them once and then have them run over and over to your audience. Working for you even when you take that break.
What you do in an autowebinar is use your webinar recording as a webinar playback. Webinarloop can make it seem just like the webinar is live.
It’s uncanny.
But that’s not all. Webinarloop has many amazing features never seen in any other webinar software
> Sidebar ads in webinars (show your graphics)
