Secret About Selling That I Learned From Experience

People prefer to buy from those who they like and trust. Likeability and trust go together. You can’t trust a person you don’t like.

The foundation of the relationship that you build with your customers is based on likeability and trust. You have to be trustworthy and you have to be likable.

If you are both, you won’t have to make an effort to sell.

Understand this, people want stuff. They have needs and if your products fulfill those needs they will buy them. They are going to buy anyway from somewhere, so why not from you?

That’s how influencers work. Their audience trusts them and likes them and thus buys what they promote.

The simplest step to do that in your business, to have more people believe in you is to be an advocate. Not for your products or your own business, but for the customer.

Promote Your Customers’ Interests

Think about what they want. Be the person who is working to help them get closer to it.

🔹 What do you write on Social media? What do the customers think when they see it?

🔹Are you talking about issues that they are interested in? How can you do more of that?

🔹When you reach out to customers do you talk about them or yourself? They are interested in their own problems.

🔹When you get leads do you give value to them? Why should they listen to your message?

If your audience sees you as a person who is working to take them forward they will remember that. They will remember you when they make that purchase decision and they will buy from you because the alternative is a soulless entity (your competition) that doesn’t look out for them.

Grabbing people’s attention is hard because they are bombarded with commercial messages everywhere. They can’t go to any website or consume any content without seeing ads. 

Approach them with something different than that and they will notice you.

Selling will then just be another step in your interaction. “I need (product), let me get it from you.”

It’s easier than you think if your audience trusts you.
