This is what works for 90% of entrepreneurs
Do you plan in time frames of days, weeks, months, or years? Do you set intentions, make projections and create momentum?
If not, then it’s time to start doing that because that’s the biggest difference between successful and unsuccessful entrepreneurs.
The majority of the top most successful entrepreneurs in their fields today built their businesses over a long period of time working with consistency, delivering to their plan year after year.
It’s only a very lucky few who got sudden and crushing success out of the blue.
That’s exactly why they are celebrated. You see headlines like “This 27-year-old built a $5 million mail order business from his mom’s basement.” It’s headline-worthy.
Nobody wants to read a headline like “54-year-old becomes a millionaire after 22 years of working on his business.”
But that’s the experience of 95% of all entrepreneurs. It takes time, effort, and consistency to build a business.
I am going to ask you a question. How has luck treated you so far?
Do you find dollar bills on the road on morning jogs? Is there an empty parking space always waiting for you? Hit the lottery a couple of times? Do people hate playing Bingo with you?
If that’s your experience you will probably get lucky again and hit that surprise, secret system that you can brag about on Twitter, “I generate $30,000 a month without creating anything. Type ‘I want this’ and share this post to get the PDF that shows you everything.”
Hint: It’s not true.
All those businessmen that I ever talk to build their businesses by being classy and consistent. They tell me stories of how they started with a first sale of a handful of dollars and worked up from there.
If you are going to be successful. This is going to be your experience too, and if it’s not, then you don’t need to hear from me. You got it all sorted for you mate :).
The key is consistency
Showing up and delivering till the market breaks and things work out.
I was reading about the Rosetta Stone this morning. A lot of people tried to decipher it, but finally, the guy who did was the guy who spent 20 years doing it. He mastered esoteric languages like ‘Coptic’ just to be able to do that.
My venture is my life’s task. I am doing it with that kind of love and dedication.
What do you feel about yours? Does it motivate you or is it a ticket to retire fast so that you never have to see it again?
If it’s the second, then this is just not the right thing for you. You probably need to look for something else.
I promise you, it’s there. Something that truly excites you and can be your passion. If you look for it, you will find it.
