This trait could be holding you back from progressing
If you talk to founders of unsuccessful businesses the most common theme you will find is that most of them failed to succeed because they couldn’t sell.
They came to the market with fresh energy, new ideas and products that performed fine but people who didn’t have products as efficient as them ended up taking over the market and growing their business.
Ever wonder why this happens so often?
The reason is the in-grained resistance we have built against selling. It’s not just that the buyers have resistance against being sold to, it’s also that we have resistance against selling.
The hardest job for a founder is to pick up the phone and make a sales call, or write a cold-email to a bunch of people they don’t know, or strike up the topic of sale when they talk to a cold prospect.
People just find it hard to sell.
If you are one of those people then this is holding you back. You can certainly be doing better in your life if you make a decision to sell at every opportunity. If you don’t shy away from it.

Here’s how I approach this.
If you’ve built the best possible product and you are giving the best possible value to your customers then by not selling it to them you are doing them an injustice.
If their life can be improved by your product or service then it is your duty to sell it to them and do all that you can to have them see the light.
I taught myself this lesson a long time ago and it has served me well.
I make absolutely the best effort to create products that work well and continue improving them. Then of course I do the best job that I can do to sell them.
Anything less is an injustice to my customers. They deserve to buy my products.
That kind of clarity of purpose and confidence can only come to you if you are really confident in your products, but if you are then you won’t hold back.
Every successful salesperson I’ve talked to comes from this place. They know the value they deliver and they are not afraid to chase down their customers.
If you really believe in your products, why are you afraid to chase down your customers? Are you finding those prospects, writing those cold emails, sending those messages? If not, then what’s holding you back?
Don’t let social programming kill your business.
If you were holding back in the past, don’t hold back anymore. Go out and take your service to your best customers oozing with the faith that it is in their best interest to be your customers. Even if they don’t know yet they need you…. You do.
What do you think of this? Do you agree with me? Let me know. Meanwhile, here’s a product I am totally confident about.
