YouTube released the algo of Shorts

TikTok unleashed the biggest game-changer on the social web. Nothing more transformational was invented before, not even Twitter.

Short form videos are now the top consumed form of content on social media. They are beating posts, long-form videos, and even micro-blogging on every platform that they are on.

On Instagram and Facebook, people spend more time watching reels than reading content (especially the young ones). It’s the same now on YouTube. It’s just an endless scroll of Shorts till you put away your phone in disgust.

Well, the algo you can’t control is the ultimate experiment, and probably the worst thing that social media has ever invented.

It takes away the conscious choice and lets primal emotions take over. You cannot consciously choose anymore, who to follow, what video to watch, and what content to consume. It’s decided for you by how you react to things.

So how can you take advantage of this?

The short answer is, to be more controversial.

Information and benefits do better in long-form content but if you want to be showing up in a feed that thrives on emotional reaction, then spark an emotion.

- People do well on Shorts. Don’t make explainers with animation or ‘no-face videos’. Get over your fear of the camera and start putting a face on it.

- Don’t be afraid to make strong statements. The Shorts algo mostly counts the watch time. The more people watch you in fascination, the more you’ll appear in the feed.

- Produce more. Create multiple videos and try to keep them to a theme so that you actually build your audience. Shorts will start showing more of your content if people watch it… There should be something to show.

- Don’t worry about optimization. The most you need is a hashtag (Tuberank Jeet can find the perfect ones). The rest is done by your audience profile.

This applies to every single short-form video platform. YouTube Shorts, Reels, TikTok… This is the best the algo can do. Keep track of what people are watching.

So are you producing a short today?

Talking about new things to do…

We added a new AI to AI Collective yesterday. Falcon LLM 7B… More are coming.

Why use one AI when you can use them all?

There’s nothing better than AI collective if you want to use AI.

AI Collective - Don’t use one AI when you can use them all!

ChatGPT is not the only AI out there. In fact, it is bad for too many things right now because it’s overused. If you create an article, an email, or a copy using ChatGPT it’s likely to be detected and penalized.

Why use one brain when you can use them all?

I invented AI Collective to give you access to all of the AIs out there and the good news is I’ve made it even more awesome in the last few months.

- Instant access, just login and start using any AI right away.

Yep, AI collective is super easy and you can use over 24 AI models with it.
